Both of these are from Persia, but there aren't many descriptions of either in English.
Both were Carnivorous.
The Shadhahvar was a Gazelle-like creature with a curved horn on it's head and fangs. The horn had holes in it and when the breeze went across the opennings music was produced. This music would draw animals and sometimes people to it and when they came near enough, the Shadhahvar would eat them.
The al Miradj/Miraj, or Mi'raj, was a yellow Rabbit-like creature with black spots and a dark horn. It also had fangs and ate flesh. Was given as a gift to a Persian King and was said to be ferocious in temperment. Supposedly found on a mysterious, hidden island in the Indian Ocean.
This is part of my "Unicorn Species" Series. Based on descriptions I have available, these are what I think they would look like!
If anyone knows of any I missed, please let me know, but look thru all of them first! Thanks!
